Bonbon Couture

Viktor & Rolf are renowned for their perfumes and their newest perfume is certainly up my top 3. Bonbon Couture* is the newest release which comes out on September 14th. If you love the original bonbon, I am certain that you are going to love Bonbon Couture. I was so incredibly lucky and grateful (still cant believe it) to be sent Bonbon Couture as a PR package to review on my blog. This post is a little bit too late, but life has just gotten in the way and so this post is late, but as they say, better late then never.

Within the package, came a leaflet explaining all about the fragrance and the scents used to achieve it.  On the leaflet it said the following "The "Haute Couture" reinterpretation of Viktor & Rolf’s sweet Bonbon perfume from 2014, Bonbon Couture is said to be a more intensive, luxurious and stronger than the original. The fragrance opens with a juicy combination of mandarin, neroli oil and peach before transcending into a heart of orange blossom and Sambac jasmine, sweetened by a potent caramel note. The base is defined by a woody accord of sandalwood and patchouli, with vanilla and blonde tobacco." It's not what I was expecting when I first smelt it, but i loved it straight away. It's a sweet scent, but I think it has hints of muskiness and when it settles, it honesty becomes the nicest fragrance ever. The fragrance released back in September and is available from Selfridges

Overall, i love this fragrance and its become my new favourite scent. In my eyes, its appropriate for all seasons and it excites me in the morning when i know i can wear it. I hope you have enjoyed reading and have a lovely day!

Australian Adventure #1

So it's certainly been a long time since I've sat down and written a post. I can't say much has happened in the last 8 months, but life has had its ups and downs that's for sure. It's currently Sunday night and I was just thinking about my blog and how much I actually miss it. Although my blog hasn't been active for quite some time, I have thought about it so much and that I need to get back into it. There is one particular reason that I want to get back into not, not only because I miss it, but because next year, I'm embarking on the biggest journey I will probably ever take.

In exactly 194 days, I am going to be hoping over to my favourite place, Australia! I have decided to pack my life up in England for a year and head over to do the most typical, touristy thing ever and go backpacking. I don't really care how un-original and cliche it is. Ever since my last visit 11 or 12 years ago, I have also said I will move out there at some point in the future. I am going on my own, but my family will be with me for the first 2 weeks, as my cousin is getting married, then i will be on my own to explore the land. I want document my adventure as i go along and potentially film it, but I'm not to sure on that one yet!

So yeah, quick little update for you. My life is pretty much the same as it was back at Christmas i would say. I am going to continue on with my blog and of course, i am still obsessed with makeup, so expect lots of blogs and i want to get back into filming aswell, as i have realised how much i miss that!
Thank you for reading and don't forget to follow to see how planning my adventure is coming along!

Favourite Thing About Christmas || 12 Days of Christmas

credit: tumblr
Its Christmas! Happy Christmas everyone! Today (well this should have gone up yesterday) i thought i would do a post all about my friends and family favourite thing about christmas. They have all written a paragraph for me on their favourite thing, from the food to the company.

"My favourite thing about Christmas is the lead up to it. I love listening to the songs, baking the treats, shopping for the presents! And everyone is so happy and festive, everything just seems so much more positive and sparkly"- Steph, my cousin (also known as Nugg, p.s. check out her YT and instagram)

"My favourite things about Christmas are....... Taking pictures and making memories of the special moments I share with my family, Opening presents of course! Spending quality time with the family....of course you may naturally do this on a day to day basis, but to share such a special day, rejoice and see all members of the family happy and smiling all together is such a blessing! And finally.....the FOOD! I don't know what it is but food at Christmas is sooooo much more appealing than what it normally is! I love Boxing Day food especially pate and pickle on crackers....don't judge me!!!" - Katie, best friend

I asked my mum her favourite thing and her answer was simply "nothing". Such a bag-humbug!

"This may sound very cliche, but my favourite thing about Christmas and general Christmas time is how it brings everyone together; Family, work colleagues, friends etc. Everyone is in a great spirit ad cheery (apart from when Christmas shopping, but we all know thats a nightmare lol). I also love watching people open the presents i got them. Watching someone open something and they have no idea what it is, but you know they will love it makes me so happy, watching them smile. And lastly, i also love the food. Roast dinner and a ton of chocolate,y yummmmmmmmmy yum yum!" - Holly, best friend.

I hope you enjoyed this post and you have such a lovely christmas day. I haven't done a paragraph because everything i would have said has been done for me, but the lovely ladies who i asked to do this. Anyway, Happy Christmas and thanks for reading!

Christmas Pudding Cake || 12 Days of Christmas

I was supposed to post this yesterday, but I just didn't get a chance as I was very busy.

I saw a picture of this cake on Pinterest whilst I was browning and I just had to make it. It's super Christmassy and festive and also so different and original. I didn't make it very well, but for my first try I am very pleased with it and I know now for next time, if there is a next time, what the do's and dont's are.

To make this you will simply just need to same ingredients as my reindeer cupcakes, just I just used 4 eggs instead of 2. It's the same concept, so you weigh the eggs and then this is the weight of all the other ingredients. It took longer to cook then I thought it would, but there's plenty to do in this time. The icing is optional. You can pre buy or make this depending on your laziness. My sister did the icing and it's really simple and self explanatory, so I won't tell you to cut out a squiggly circle and some holly leaves. I'm sure you are all more then capable of this.

Once the cake has finally cooled, you just make it more rounded and eat the off cuts of course. Then you can add a filling to the middle of you want too. I wish I did this but I forgot. Simply smother in frosting or chocolate and stick the maltesers. We ended up chopping our maltesers in half as we didn't buy enough.

Once you have done this you have completed the cake. You can now tuck in and enjoy! I hope you enjoyed this post and like the cake if you make it. I really enjoyed making it and getting my creative flare out. Thank you for reading and happy Christmas Eve!

Winter Tag || 12 Days of Christmas

I am not feeling to great this evening, but i didn't want to leave you without a blogpost. I was meant to be doing  a makeup related post, but i just don't have the effort to lather my face in makeup, do my hair and take pictures. Instead, i thought i would do a nice easy tag post for you, which i hope is acceptable, so lets get started.

❄ Top 2 Winter Beauty Essentials
Moisturiser is hands down my number 1. I hate my skin in the winter because the weather really affects it and i can not be without my moisturiser. Number 2 is a dark burgundy red lipstick. My all time favourite shape of lipstick and i just can never get enough.

❄ Top 2 Winter Fashion Essentials
Big cosy jumpers and slippers. I never wear slippers at any other time of the year apart from around Christmas. It maybe because i have christmas slippers, but that wouldn't stop me from wearing them in June. You also just can't go wrong with a big oversized knit.

❄ What shoes do you tend to wear the most in the winter?
Ugg boots all the way!

❄ Favorite Winter Accessory
My tartan scarf has been worn to death the last year, i seriously can't get enough of it

❄ Favorite Winter Nail Polish
I don't have any nails to paint, so i can't really comment, but if i did, a matte deep red or just any matte colour actually.

❄ Hot Cocoa or Apple Cider?
Hot Cocoa all the way.

❄ Favorite Winter Candle?
My Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede is perfect for any time of the year

❄ Snowboarding or Skiing?
None of them, as i would break several bones if i tried.XD

❄ Have you ever gone Ice Skating? Are you any good or do you FAIL miserably?
Yes, I did and I was terrible. It was around 10 years ago and if i tried to go now, i would most probably just sit on the side and watch instead.

❄ Does it snow where you live?
Hahaha no, more like rain 24/7

❄ Have you ever made a snowman?
I did when i was younger, but we haven't had good snow for a couple of years now. Last time it snowed, i made an igloo with a slide. It was pretty amazing.

❄ What holiday do you celebrate?
Just christmas day and new years eve.

❄ Favorite Christmas/Holiday song?
100% Fairytale of New York

❄ Favorite Christmas/Holiday movie?
I haven't actually watched too many Christmas movies. However, The Holiday, Elf & Love Actually make me always in a good mood and feel really festive.

❄ What is your favorite winter treat? (candy cane, gingerbread, etc…)
I don't really have one. I just like all the food, except brussel sprouts

❄ If you were to ask Santa for one thing and you were guaranteed to get it, what would it be? (even if you don’t celebrate Christmas)
This is hard. I could be really vein and say a yacht or a house or a new car, but in all honesty, i would just like all my family to be together and having a laugh and having a good time. I think I'm at the age now, where its not about presents and how much money has been spent on you. I prefer giving presents then receiving and would much rather just spend it with family then get any presents.

❄ Do you have anything fun planned for this winter
I am going away shortly after christmas for a week and i can't wait to get out of the miserable UK and into some nice hot sunny weather!

I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading!
