Hello everyone, i hope you are all well. Today i thought i would share my thoughts on my new Yves Saint Laurent products, which i actually picked up in early December. I am a massive fan of YSL products and really wanted to extend my collection as i used to only own the 1 lipstick that everyone else owns, know as Peach Passion, which I'm not the biggest fan of. When it comes to YSL, they know how to make you drool for packaging. I think they have managed to hit the nail with the hammer, because i could cry at the beautiful packaging that all of their products have. Theres nothing nicer then having a gold bullet on the top of your muji draws.
I had been after a deep red/berry shade for a while now and when i saw this one of the boots website and of course, in true blogger style reading up on reviews, i was sold. I literally couldn't have cared less about the price tag. I was more intrigued on the free candle if you spent £50, so of course i didn't find that hard. The shade 206 in the YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats Lipstick is the option i chose. I wanted a matte lipstick as they are my favourite, but this is very hydrating and creamy. It does have a subtle sheen, but nothing that is obvious on the lips. I find this is best when paired with a lipliner. I only have Cherry from MAC but i am on the hunt for some darker ones, so recommendations are welcome. When applied well to the lips, i find this can last a good 8 hours or so. Depending on the person and what they are doing would vary, but on me its around 7-8 hours. This was £25 and i am so glad i bought this, the price literally does not bother me in the slightest. I love YSL products and i know the quality of them is incredible.
I also picked up a foundation. I have heard a lot about their foundations and i have wanted to try one for a while now, but wasn't sure which one to go for. In the end i opted for the Forever Youth Liberator Foundation. I have heard lots of good things about this and i did my research on the perfect shade, as buying makeup online, especially foundation isn't an easy one, when you don't now your colour from that brand, its even harder. I really struggle to find a foundation which works for my dry skin and so far i am in love. I was really worried that the colour wouldn't match and that it would make my skin go crazy and seep into my dry patches i know, gross, but it happens. Even the first day of wearing, someone commented on how good my skin looked, so this one is a keeper for sure! Again, not cheap at £36, but with instant improvements and results, i would happily repurchase this after its finished.
So, that is my little YSL haul. I think that it could possibly be one of my new favourite brands and I'm itching to try more for the brand. I hope you enjoyed and let me know your favourite YSL products!
